Felix lived to be almost 20 years old.  This picture shows him on the morning of his last day during his last visit to the backyard.  It is so hard to say goodbye to an old friend of 20 years, one that always said good morning and good night  with affection if not with words, one who shared so much love with the family over so many birthdays and holidays that it was unthinkable to imagine a Christmas without Felix.  He shared his life with us for two decades, saw us get old, change jobs, move away, but he remained constant in our lives.  Everyday Felix lived true to his birthday, Valentine's Day, with nothing but love for everyone he met.  He will be missed daily far more than we ever suspected.  His name means "fortunate, lucky" but we have been the truly lucky ones to have known and loved him.
